Does Traditional Networking Still Work?

Being in social media doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re social. But it helps. As the owner of a small business I am exploring the opportunity of joining some networking groups within my community. So far, the results have been amazing! Is it about getting more clients and making more money? Sure. Is that the only reason why I participate? Absolutely not. Not only do I enjoy meeting new people but I am also eager to learn about other entrepreneurs and their businesses. I can’t remember a meeting I went to that I did not discover something that I didn’t know. I also think it’s important to explore different networking groups in your area so you can get a sense for how you will interact with others in the group. Many times, these groups will allow you to join them once or twice as a guest so you can give it a try before making a committment. I think it’s a great way to make new friends and colleagues!
I’ll provide you with an article I found which includes tips on networking for entrepreneurs. It has great tips to ensure that small businesses are social connecting in person as well as on the internet.
Try it and explain the possibilites today!
